About the Orchard
The Curran Apple Orchard Park is a 7.33 acre apple orchard located within the City of University Place. Created as a hobby orchard in the early 1950s, the orchard today offers residents and visitors a multitude of opportunities.
More than 200 trees with more than 15 varieties of apples offer a tranquil place to enjoy nature along with providing food and shelter for birds, bees, small wildlife and deer.
The CORE (Curran Orchard Resource Enthusiasts) volunteer group works with the City on orchard maintenance issues along with sponsoring various events. CORE currently meets the first Tuesday of each month in person and via zoom starting at 6pm. Everyone is welcome to to attend! Please contact curranappleorchard@gmail.com to obtain specific meeting details.
CORE activities include the Adopt-A-Tree program, tree care and insect education, pruning instruction, tours, summer concerts, an Adopter's Cider Squeeze and a Community Harvest Day.
