Windfall Pick Up
Picking Up the Windfall Apples
From July through October, tree adopters and volunteers can pick up apples that have fallen onto the ground and place them in the large roll-off container near the barn. Picking up windfall apples is important for preventing the spread of diseases, such as brown rot, which can survive the winter and infect trees the following season. Further, this will remove food sources that attract insects and other pests.
Taking care of the orchard is a community effort - and we appreciate your help in picking up windfall apples!
